One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart that you can’t utter
- James Earl Jones
It can sometimes be difficult to be unable to say what you want. It can feel like you can’t express your true nature and are holding back in showing your true self.
I used to stutter for many years and have lived through most of the experiences of not being able to truly express myself. The nervousness, tension, sweaty palms when knowing you are about to speak. At one point I remember asking my mother as a young child if she could promise me if I would one day get over my stutter and be fluent. I so wanted to express the words that were on my heart but too often I couldn’t. Today that dream is a reality. Don’t get me wrong, I still get caught out sometimes and stumble my words, but now I don’t get caught up in my thinking and can carry on with barely a hiccup.
I have been able to shake all my nervousness about speaking and start to really enjoy telling the world who I am. I have gone onto win many speaking awards and now I feel it an obligation to show others how it is not only possible but not as difficult as it seems, when you’re in the midst of it, to climb out of the hole.
I really hope you’ll join me on this journey. Please have a look through the site and familiarise yourself with what we can do together. If it catches your eye, I’d love for you to get in touch.
All my love,
